February 2026

I decided what I needed to get out of my slump was a trip somewhere entirely focused on photography. It was about this time last year when I went to North Wales hoping to see some dramatic snowy mountain scenes and was let down, so I thought I would try again since there was a bit of a cold freeze over the UK this year. January 2026

I was now in a bit of a slump photographically, feeling quite unmotivated. It was almost like Japan had burnt me out. I did go for some walks where I took a couple of photos a few I though was good enough to share. Also I did get out to photograph Mountain Hares in thier winter coat up in the Peak District, though unfortunatly they were lacking snow.

December 2025

After my Japan trip I didn’t really get out too much with my camera, I knew every photo I took would just get stuck on the end of a 10,000 photo back-log. So photography wise most of this month was just culling images from Japan. I did get out for a couple of walks and also to do some birdwatching at RSPB St Aidens where I was lucky enough to see some Glossy Ibis. I got a couple of inflight shots but that was about it, still good to see though!

October 2025

It’s October, that means its time for the Red Deer rut again. This year I wanted mor autumnal feeling images rather than just getting the same images I have in previous years of them on open moor land. I think I achieved this finding them in some woodland habbitat where the leaves and ferns had turned orange. Aswell as the Deer I got a few mushroom shots as well as spending some time photograping cascading water at Wyming Brook, which is always relaxing.
